Vapor Compression Refrigeration - 1850

http://www.berg-group.com/outdooraircooledmodels.htm
The vapor compression refrigeration was more of an idea at the time. The idea was a thought of Oliver Evans, and he described and designed what it would do and look like. It was mainly supposed to help keep cold food cold or stay edible. This is basically where refrigerators had started aside from ice rooms or railroad cars. This had a huge hit on all lives because now things could be fresh without immediately going to waste.
